THE DOG DAYS OF SUMMER...

Wow this past week has been insanely crazy and fun filled with muskies. All of us including Nate, Wicky, Eric, and I have been hitting the water 4-5 days a week and even sometimes 2 times in one day! Every time we venture out on the water we are always catching and seeing muskies. Some of the days we would go out and see up to 10 fish a day!! It was an incredible week overall. Midnight Cats!!!!

Man have the winds been brutal this past week! I have been working and just watching the few boats on the water get thrown around like rag dolls, so I changed my normal pattern of fishing almost every day during the week to relaxing at home or hanging out with friends. Saturday evening I was back on the water for another evening of muskie hunting! The recent wind as of late has kept me off the water, so needless to say I was eager to get back in my groove out there! Muskie season underway…

Where has the first part of summer gone already??? I have been hitting the water hard the past month and a half, only missing about five days on the water in search of those big fish. Every time out we are learning new tactics and searching for new areas to catch our next big muskie. The bite has been pretty good for the past couple of weeks, raising multiple fish every time out and boating a couple monsters too. My first muskie!!!

Since muskie season opened June 6th I have been out on the water chasing them about 3-4 days a week. I have boated a few nice sized bass that engulfed my bucktails, but no sign of the infamous Muskellunge. Up to last week the closest I came to a muskie was just a few follows up to the boat.
