The middle of October only means one thing for me. North Dakota. Every year I head out to the waterfowl mecca of ND to chase ducks and geese, with mainly thoughts of greenheads committing into the decoy spread. The spring snow goose season is something I look forward to every year. Every spring our crew starts the light goose season down in Northwestern Missouri and follows the migration through North Dakota. Hello all. I am a part of the Avery Youth Field Staff, which is how this whole story came to be. It all starts off with my dad passing away this March. It was a very unexpected death that took his life and changed my family’s life forever. There isn’t a minute that goes by without me missing him and thinking of the memories we had shared for a short 16 years.
