About:
Kyle Stender

Ever since a young age, Kyle has been committed to the outdoors. Throughout the summer you can find him on many of the local area lakes pursuing all species of fish. He is also familiar with Devils Lake, Mille Lacs Lake, and many northern Minnesota lakes. In 2008 it was a start to a new beginning for him pursuing the fish of 10,000 casts. He just recently found his new hobby: musky fishing. Kyle mainly targets Lake Waconia and Minnetonka for musky but also on the occasion he finds his way to Mille Lacs and northern Minnesota. Although he has found it takes an extreme amount of patience it was well worth it when you can work hard at learning about a new species and finally catch one.

Kyle mainly grew up fishing walleye and bass. At a young age he was a bass fishing fanatic but as he grew older he started targeting more walleyes. It seemed to him walleyes were harder to catch; it was a challenge. Almost anyone could cast along a shoreline and catch a bass! There was just something about catching good ole’ marble eyes that got Kyle going. Usually during the winter is hard core walleye time for him mainly because the muskies tend to have lock jaw. Five years ago is when walleyes through the ice really caught his attention. It seemed like there was nothing better to him than pulling up an 8 pound plus walleye through an ice hole. Every winter you can find him on the ice 70-90 days out of the winter.

Even though Kyle does a lot of fishing, he is also fond of hunting. Every year an annual trip is taken to northern Minnesota to chase whitetails; where two weeks out of the year he can be found sitting in a deer stand waiting for that big buck to pass by. Another passion of his is chasing waterfowl. The majority of Kyle's time in the fall is spent throughout Minnesota but also North and South Dakota chasing the flight. As always he's out and about pursuing new passions and adventures.

About:

Kyle Wickenhauser

Kyle has been fishing metro area lakes for most of his life. He loves being on the lake and fishes multi-species year round. His favorite time is spent on the water chasing those monster muskies from the beginning of the season till the baits are bouncing off the ice! His casting outings for Mr. Esox are always the highlights of the year! He practices catch and release only. The main lake of interest for Kyle is beautiful Lake Waconia, he has learned this lake over the past few years and can’t get enough of it! He loves casting anything from a big buck tail lures to a small panfish jigs in order to catch fish!

He also targets the big ole’ elusive walleye during the winter. Most nights during the winter season, you can find Kyle waiting for the rattle reels to start clanking hoping that there is a monster walleye on the other end! What about panfish you ask? Well he is all over that issue too, you can find him jigging on a bucket on a nice day in search of those big crappies and sunfish! In the fall if you don’t see Kyle casting out big baits on the lake, he could be hunting for pheasants which he also enjoys!

Kyle is always willing to learn new things when it comes to fishing different species. It is always a good time in the boat or on the ice in pursuit of fish for this guy! He jumps at the chance to throw some lures around on the lake, or kicking up birds with his buddies! In the end, spending time outdoors is not a passion for this young man, it’s a obsession!

About:

Nate Eder

From the day that Nate can remember he has always been in the outdoors. Being brought up in an “outdoors” family, it was kinda expected that he would follow in their footsteps. When Nate was a kid he was always the young one that would follow daddy around and watch him catch the fish. Well then one day when he was old enough to hold his own pole, he fell in love with fishing and never looked back.

Nate would call himself the average outdoorsman that loves to fish and hunt. He spends most of his time out of the house and in the open fresh air.  You can find him fishing the open waters of Waconia, Minnetonka, Osakis and a few lakes up north.  If he's not summer fishing, then you can find him off at work or building demolition derby cars on his free time. In the winter season, Nate spends most of his time on frozen Lake Waconia. When there is enough ice, he changes the fish house into his own house! Everyone jokes around about it but from the day the permanent hits the hard water, till the last day it has to come off, he sleeps in it every night with an exception of a handful of days. You can call him crazy but it’s just something that he truly enjoys!

Besides fishing, Nate also enjoys the pursuit of the hunt. In early fall he spends most of his time in a hunkered down in a field chasing honkers or sitting in a duck marsh watching the migration fly by. Not only does he chase waterfowl, he also loves walking down the almighty bird of the north, the ruffed grouse. This is probably one of his favorite times of the year with the cooler weather and spectacular scenery. Whitetails on the other hand also get three weeks out of the year of his dedication. He's always up for anything and everything but is always looking for new information to keep him on the ball.

About:

Eric Wolf

Trying to find Eric Wolf? Good luck finding him at home because he is always on the move pursuing waterfowl all across the U.S. andCanada. He was introduced to the wonderful sport of hunting at the age of 12, and he has been addicted ever since. At the age of just 17, he has already hunted waterfowl in 3 flyways and 1 province in Canada.

Eric was born and raised in Waconia, MN, which is an area rich in fishing and hunting opportunities. The great outdoors is a year long passion for Eric. Starting in the fall he hunts waterfowl primarily, along with upland game and whitetail deer. He follows the bird migration from Saskatchewan all the way down through Missouri. The sight of a flock of ducks or geese right at sunrise never seizes to amaze him. Once the seasons close you can always find Eric on Lake Waconia chasing panfish and walleyes. If you can’t find him on the hard water doing some ice fishing, he is probably out calling coyotes under the full moon. As the ice fishing season winds down, he shifts gears to his favorite sport of all; Snow goose hunting. He is always up for the challenge and excitement the white devils can provide.

Summer fishing is the first outdoor experience Eric can remember. He recalls hauling the family pontoon up to his Grandpa’s house inAlexandria to do some panfishing with his Dad, brother, uncles, and cousins. Nowadays Eric is in his boat as much as possible, chasing panfish, bass, walleyes, and his new addiction of Muskie fishing. Muskie fishing is a new thing to him, but he is looking forward to spending time on the water with friends and learning all about the monster muskies that the WMO Crew cannot get enough of!
